Implementation of a Document Management Solution
Veolia Water decided to implement a document management system in 1999, to handle quality documents. The Technical Direction selected the Ennov solution, then named PrismaSuite. Two years later, the system was extended to other types of documents: regulatory, technical, legal, sales documents?
Today, 15,000 documents are managed in the application: best practices, studies and reports, manuals, clients? datasheets, procedures? Documents are produced in all regions of France by 80 issuers. Regional administrators configure validation workflows according to their own organizational rules.
From Document Management to Content Management
In 2007, Veolia Water launched a pilot project to migrate to Ennov5, the new platform proposed by Ennov. This will be an opportunity to reengineer the structure of the documentation and take advantage of new features. Document types and index fields are reorganized to extend the scope of the system. Communities of users have been identified in order to facilitate access to documents relevant to each business activity. Specific navigators will then be configured for each community, highlighting the most frequently used documents. Indicators may also be implemented to monitor the production of documents. The migration project is to be launched shortly.
Substantial Benefits
For Veolia Water, Ennov5 provides a simple access to a complete and up to date referential for 3,000 users in all regions. Every one easily finds the information required for his/her job.
