Risk Management At Rouen Hospital
Rouen hospital includes 8,700 employees in 5 different locations and welcomes more than 100,000 people a year (total number of beds is 2,452). It is a major teaching hospital in France and one of the most renowned medical centers in the country.
Until 2005, deviations were raised by filling-out paper forms. The Quality department understood that on-line declaration would provide much greater efficiency to monitor deviations and alerts. In order to select an Intranet based solution for risk management, the following criteria were critical:
- Performance
- User-friendliness
- Confidentiality, traceability, user access management
- Integration to other existing applications
- Flexibility of the set up.
Following a formal RFP process, Ennov was chosen to address these needs for the whole hospital.
Rouen Hospital started with Ennov to implement processes for the Technical Services as well as alerts related to blood vigilance. In the coming months, all deviations and alerts will be monitored in the system, in full compliance with regulatory standards
